We are delighted to announce that work is now under way on creating our incredible new £1.4 million surgery.

We will be relocating to our new purpose-built, 5,000 sq ft Guildford surgery on Monday 24th January.

The new site, which is just five minutes from our current Worplesdon Road practice, will boast some of the finest veterinary facilities and embrace the very latest technology to deliver the best treatments possible for its small animal and exotic patients.

Facilities will include separate dog and cat waiting areas to support our aim of achieving the prestigious International Society of Feline Medicine gold cat-friendly status; two operating theatres and a dental suite, as well as a pharmacy and dedicated on-site parking spaces.

As a result of the site move, our expert team is also set to increase in size with a number of jobs likely to be created.

Elizabeth Wozniak, lead clinical director here at Alder, said the significant investment by parent company Linnaeus goes to reinforce our commitment to excellence for all clients and patients.

Elizabeth said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for Alder and this new £1.4 million practice is a really clear signal that we are committed to delivering a level of excellence in treatment and care which is second to none.

“It is a huge move for us in every way. The increased size of the practice will enable us to expand our facilities further and ensure we remain at the very forefront of animal care.

“The team here are really looking forward to the move and we’re excited to be held up as a flagship practice model for other primary care surgeries within Linnaeus.”

We will also be working with national accreditation scheme Investors in the Environment (iiE) to introduce a bold green initiative to substantially reduce our environmental impact and enhance our sustainability.

Elizabeth added: “Delivering the highest standards and quality of care to our patients, and providing an excellent working environment to all members of our team are key priorities for me.

“We are also passionate about contributing to the environment and offsetting our carbon footprint, which is why we will be teaming up iiE to help us achieve our sustainability ambitions when our new practice opens its doors.”
